The opportunity to scale up

Customer Demand

Based on the G+7 design and plans for an apartment complex in India, the opportunity to scale up emerges. By making the walls load bearing, printing the floors and increasing the amount of floors, we were able build a G+7. This is more efficient and therefore economically more feasible.

Redefine construction

The Activities

February ’19 | After CyBe’s visit to Mumbai in India, CyBe moved onto the next step of providing a solution for the urbanization boom together with CyBe’s partner Shapoorji Pallonji. Building the change we want to see in the world, and keep Continuously learning.

Mumbai has inspired CyBe and made a huge impression. The current urbanization boom leads to the growth of slums and therefore to the strong need for development strategies to improve these conditions. CyBe’s 3D affordable housing concepts seek to redefine construction, spatial interventions and make a change! In July 2019, CyBe Construction finalized the design of a G+7 apartment complex. At the same time, CyBe was busy manufacturing the 3D concrete printer to be used within this project, which is scheduled to be delivered in Q4 2020.

Solve the economic puzzle

What we’ve learned

The G+7 Apartment Complex developed and managed to implement the reinforcement principle in our process. It solved the economic puzzle, and ensured us to achieve economic feasibility, as well as technical feasibility. It industrialised semi-precast construction by means of 3D Printing. We used local CyBe MORTAR, and thanks to Design & Engineering we were managed to do an holistic trans-disciplinary approach. This reduced time and costs.
